ABOUT FORD FAIRLANE

2015 marked the 25th Anniversary of the release of "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane," starring Andrew Dice Clay, directed by Renny Harlin for 20th Century Fox/Silver Pictures. A cult classic today with fans around the world, the film was based on stories written by Rex Weiner about a detective with an attitude working in the music business.

First published in serialized form in the New York Rocker in 1979, a second "adventure" appeared in the LA Weekly in 1980, also published in weekly installments. First developed by Floyd Mutrux (Freebie and the Bean, American Hot Wax) at Columbia, the picture was finally produced by Joel Silver and released in the summer of 1990 by 20th Century Fox.

Now the original stories, never before published together, are available as a book published by Rare Bird Books.
